Day 01 – Airport | Negombo

We’ll be at the airport to welcome you and drive you the short distance to Negombo, home to an amazing beachside atmosphere with plenty of shops and cafes to explore, and an amazing beach to walk along.

Day 02 – Negombo | Dambulla

After breakfast, you’ll head to Dambulla and visit the Kaludiya Pokuna in Kandalama, a forest with some archaeological remains, which will be quite an adventure. The area is stunningly beautiful and ideal for a trek through nature and for those looking for some peace and calm. It’s home to some 120 species of birds too, making it a birdwatcher’s paradise.

Day 03 – Hot Air Balloon Ride | Pidurangala Rock | Dambulla

Get ready for some spectacular scenery and breath-taking views, you’re going up for a ride in a hot air balloon over some of Sri Lanka’s most stunning terrain. You’ll start in Kandalama and proceed to check out Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle. You’ll also see some excellent wildlife, including herds of elephants.

Once you’re back on the ground, you’ll be in for a hike up Pidurangala Rock, the less famous rock in the vicinity of its world-famous counterpart, Sigiriya. Enjoy amazing views over the whole area from the top of the rock.

Day 04 – Dambulla | Mahiyanganaya

Today you’ll take a leisurely drive to Mahiyanganaya. While there, do take the opportunity to visit the Maduru Oya National Park which is home to a number of endemic species of animals and plants.

Day 05 – Wedda Village Tour

Meet and engage with the indigenous “Wedda” people; “Wedda” translating to “people of the forest”. You’ll get a chance to experience first-hand, the lifestyles of these indigenous communities that have been living in the Dambana forests for centuries. Experience traditional hunting with a bow and arrow, traditional dances and other activities. You’ll also visit the Wedda Village Museum.

Day 06 – Mahiyanganaya | Kandy

Enjoy a leisurely drive up to Kandy, an ancient city in the central highlands of Sri Lanka, once the last stronghold of the Sinhala kings until the early 1800s when it became a British Protectorate. The city is full of history and has a culture that is unique in Sri Lanka.

Here you’ll visit the world-famous Temple of the Tooth Relic, which is home to a tooth relic collected from the funeral pyre of the Buddha.

Day 07 – Kandy | Nuwara Eliya

Have a hearty breakfast because today it’s your turn to enjoy one of the best railroad experiences in the world. You’ll be driven to the station to catch the train to Nanu Oya. Prepare to have your breath taken away by the cascading waterfalls, verdant green hills, misty mountains and carpet-like tea plantations.

In Nanu Oya, we’ll be there to meet you at the station and drive you the short distance to Sri Lanka’s “Little England”, Nuwara Eliya. Home to arguably the best tea in the world, this hill station is one of the highest towns in Sri Lanka by elevation at 6,129 feet above sea level.

That afternoon, you’ll visit a tea factory to witness the labour of love that is Ceylon Tea. Along the way you’ll also see plenty of fields, plantations and other scenic treats.

Day 08 – Nuwara Eliya | Horton Plains

Carrying a packed breakfast to enjoy in the wilderness, you’ll be driving up to Horton Plains today. Get ready for the adventure of the outdoors, you’re heading to the Horton Plains National Park, located on a plateau in the hills and home to the famous World’s End precipice. The scenery is simply indescribable and the 9km trek through the wilderness will take about 3 hours to complete.

Day 09 – Nuwara Eliya | Dickwella

You’re heading to the beach, driving to the seaside town of Dickwella on the south coast. The beaches here are quite stunning and provide an excellent experience for families and large groups. These beaches are protected by sandbars and reefs making for safe swimming, even for kids (though always under supervision).

Day 11 – Dickwella | Colombo

Take a leisurely drive up to the bustling commercial capital of Colombo, where you’ll enjoy a unique tour of the city onboard an open-top double decker bus. It’s one of the most interesting ways to see the city and your experienced guide will have you rivetted as you visit landmarks in the city such as Independence Square, the Gangaramaya Temple, the National Museum and the Floating Market in Pettah.

You’ll end the day with a spot of shopping, where you’ll be spoilt for choice with all the top brands and local delights available at great prices.

Day 12 – Airport

You’ve enjoyed the sea spray, seen history from the air, enjoyed the magic of the hills and experienced the best that Sri Lanka has to offer. Now we’ll get you to the airport in time for your flight home, along with all the amazing memories you’ll surely have made during your trip to Sri Lanka.
