Sink your feet into some of the most amazing beaches anywhere on earth! Then enjoy some exhilarating activities on the water and soak up the sun, sea and sand. Excited? You should be! This is an epic beach adventure that’ll take you to Sri Lanka’s best beaches and is enough to satisfy even the most demanding beach bums.

 

Day 01 – Airport

We’ll be at the airport to welcome you and drive you straight to the beaches of Kalpitiya, which are some of Sri Lanka’s best.

Day 02 – Whale Watching in Kalpitiya

Kalpitiya is not only famous for its beaches but also for whale watching. So, after an early breakfast you’ll head out onto the warm, tropical waters of the Indian Ocean for a glimpse of these giants of the sea. Majestic blue whales, sperm whales, dolphins and many other species frequent these waters and you’ll probably have an excellent opportunity to get up close with these amazing creatures.

Day 03 – Trincomalee

After breakfast, you’ll head to Trincomalee or “Trinco” as it’s commonly referred to. The place is home to some of Sri Lanka’s most attractive and sought-after beaches including the famous Nilaveli, Uppuveli, Marble and Trinco beaches. All feature pearl white sands and crystal-clear waters that never fail to dazzle even the most discerning beach lovers. Trincomalee provides a plethora of beach activities including diving, snorkeling, kite surfing, whale watching, windsurfing and many others. Whatever your flavour, you’ll find it in Trincomalee!

Day 04 – Pigeon Island

Get ready for a day of exploration and adventure as you head out to Pigeon Island National Park, which is a marine national park in Sri Lanka about a kilometre off the coast of Nilaveli. The islands are home to some of the most beautiful coral reefs in Sri Lanka and are named after the Rock Pigeon which has colonized them. It’s a fun place to explore and you’ll see some interesting wildlife.

You’ll also enjoy a small tour of the Trincomalee town including the famous Koneswaram Temple. Trinco boasts a rich Colonial History and is home to one of the finest natural harbours in the world; the fifth largest, in fact.

Day 05 – Pasikudah

Famous for its shallow waters and elongated coastline, Pasikudah is amazing for sunbathing and shallow swimming. Few are able to resist sinking their feet into the soft white sands of Pasikudah and taking a dip in the crystal-clear blue waters. This is the beach as it was meant to be! You’ll spend the whole day at leisure here, giving you plenty of time to soak up the sun and enjoy the seaside ambience of Pasikudah.

Day 6 & 7 – Time for Yourself

Soon after breakfast you’ll drive down to Pottuvil, a peaceful beachside town on the east coast of Sri Lanka. It’s a great place for surfing and is only 2km away from Arugam Bay, world famous amongst surfers. Explore the area and revel in the quaint seaside vibe, before you head to Sri Lanka’s most happening southern beaches.

Day 08 & 09 – Galle

You’ll spend the morning driving to Galle, a major town on the south coast of Sri Lanka. A famous seaport in the past and even today, Galle is home to great beaches and plenty of colonial heritage including the Galle Dutch Fort – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town and the fort are perfect to immerse yourself in the local culture and experience the old and the new coexisting in harmony.

Day 10 – Negombo

You’ll leave after breakfast and, on your way to Negombo, you’ll visit Sri Lanka’s commercial capital, Colombo. This is a great opportunity for some shopping before heading off to Negombo, which is a major coastal town in the vicinity of the Bandaranaike International Airport. Negombo is home to an amazing beachside atmosphere with plenty of shops and cafes to explore, and an amazing beach to walk along.

Day 11 – Airport

Now you’ve experienced the sea spray, worked on your tan and collected treasures from your glorious beach holiday in Sri Lanka, it’s time to return home or continue on your travels. We’ll be there to take you the short distance to the airport and bid you farewell as you carry back memories to treasure for life.
