Day 01 – Airport | Negombo

We’ll be at the airport to welcome you and drive you the short distance to Negombo, home to an amazing beachside atmosphere with plenty of shops and cafes to explore, and an amazing beach to walk along.

Day 02 – Negombo Lagoon Boat Tour | Millennium Elephant Foundation | Sigiriya

Enjoy a leisurely aquatic adventure as you take a boat tour of the Negombo Lagoon and visit the famous Muthurajawela Marsh, a great place for bird watching.

Later on, you’ll drive to Sigiriya, stopping on the way at the Millennium Elephant Foundation to enjoy an up-close experience with these majestic giants. The foundation is home to elephants rescued from harsh circumstances or those who have retired after years of valuable service at a Buddhist temple.

Day 03 – Sigiriya | Hiriwadunna

Get ready for a dose of history and some amazing views. You’ll visit the world-famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress; 8th wonder of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll see the famous frescoes dating back over a thousand years, an ancient water garden and a pleasure palace built on top of a rock fortress for one of Sri Lanka’s most famous kings.

Afterwards, you’ll visit the Hiriwadunna Village for a taste of traditional Sri Lankan village life. Ride a bullock cart and trek through rural vegetable and paddy fields and even visit a farmer’s house.

Day 04 – Kandy | Temple of the Tooth | Dance Show

Enjoy a leisurely drive up to Kandy, an ancient city in the central highlands of Sri Lanka, once the last stronghold of the Sinhala kings until the early 1800s when it became a British protectorate. The city is full of history and has a culture that is unique in Sri Lanka.

Here you’ll visit the world-famous Temple of the Tooth Relic, which is home to a tooth relic collected from the funeral pyre of the Buddha.

The same evening, you will be treated to an entertaining cultural dance performance in the traditional Kandyan style, which is unique and not found anywhere else in the world.

Day 05 – By Train to Ella

Have a hearty breakfast because today it’s your turn to enjoy one of the best railroad experiences in the world. You’ll be driven to the station to catch the train to Ella. Prepare to have your breath taken away by the cascading waterfalls, verdant green hills, misty mountains and carpet-like tea plantations.

In Ella, we’ll be there to meet you at the station and take you to your hotel.

Day 06 – Ravana Falls | Nine Arches Bridge

Today you’ll visit the Ravana Falls, one of the widest and most famous waterfalls in the country, even featuring in the Ramayana epic. After that, you’ll head over to see the Nine Arches Bridge, which is a bridge that connects the railway line across a valley. Built in 1921 entirely of rock, brick and cement with no steel, the bridge is still standing the test of time a century later.

Day 07 – Yala Campsite + Safari

After breakfast, you’ll drive down to Yala and head out on an afternoon safari. The Yala National Park is the largest wildlife sanctuary in Sri Lanka. So, get your cameras out and be on the lookout. The park is home to leopards, elephants, wild buffaloes, musk deer, mongoose, pangolins, macaques, jackals and a host of other animals, not to mention a plethora of birds. If you want that awesome shot of natural wildlife to take home with you, this is your chance!

Day 08 – Campsite + Safari

Enjoy some camping activities surrounded by the wilderness, along with another opportunity to head out into the park.

Day 09 – Mirissa

The beach holiday magic begins today! Head up the coast to Mirissa, famous for its crescent shaped beach and eclectic vibe. Its location on the southern coast makes it an excellent place to witness the sunset and the sunrise, which are known to be some of the best on earth.

Day 10 – Whale Watching | Galle Dutch Fort | Bentota

Be ready for a very early start. Today you’ll head out onto the water for some whale watching. You’ll be taking a packed breakfast to enjoy on the water.

Later you’ll be driven to the seaside town of Bentota, stopping for a tour of the Galle Dutch Fort; a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening you’ll have the option of going on yet another adventure in the form of a river safari.

Day 11 – Water Sports | Turtle Hatchery

Enjoy some thrilling water sports in the morning and later on visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, which is engaged in the conservation of sea turtles in Sri Lanka. The beaches of Sri Lanka are their nesting grounds and these conservationists are helping to ensure the survival of the species. You’ll get to see some turtles and, if you’re lucky, even release some hatchlings into the sea.

Day 12 – Colombo | Tuk Tuk Safari

You’ll drive into the bustling commercial capital of Colombo and be whisked off on an exhilarating tour of the city by Tuk Tuk. You’ll see the most important sites of the city and experience the essence of this cosmopolitan metropolis.

Day 13 – Airport

You’ve experienced Sri Lanka and enjoyed its warm hospitality. Now we’ll get you to the airport in time for your flight home, along with all the amazing memories you’ll surely have made during your trip to Sri Lanka.
