Day 01 – Airport

We’ll be at the airport to welcome you and drive you the short distance to Negombo, home to an amazing beachside atmosphere with plenty of shops and cafes to explore, and an amazing beach to walk along.

Day 02 – Minneriya National Park

After breakfast, you’ll be whisked off, through woodlands and rice paddies, to Habarana in the rural heartland of Sri Lanka. Located on a major crossroads, this is a great base for excursions to the Minneriya National Park and Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle sites.

Later in the day, you’ll go on safari into the Minneriya National Park or Kaudulla National Park, depending on where the elephants are. If you’re visiting during the season for the Elephant Gathering at Minneriya (July to September), prepare to be awed by herds of up to 300 elephants and a plethora of other animals and birds. The Minneriya Elephant Gathering is the largest gathering of Asiatic elephants in the world and takes place by the edge of the Minneriya reservoir, commissioned by the ancient king Mahasena about 1,700 years ago.

Day 03 – Pidurangala Rock | Polonnaruwa

Get ready for an early morning rush of adrenaline as you hike up Pidurangala Rock, the less famous rock in the vicinity of its world-famous counterpart, Sigiriya. Enjoy amazing views over the whole area from the top of the rock.

After that adventure is over, you’ll head to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa; a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you’ll see the ancient ruins of a walled garden city, which is one of the world’s best ancient examples of a planned city. You’ll stroll through the ruins of ancient palaces, royal rooms and Buddhist shrines. Polonnaruwa is the history buff’s dream.

Day 04 – Hot Air Ballooning | Kithulgala

Get ready for some spectacular scenery and breath-taking views, you’re going up for a ride in a hot air balloon over some of Sri Lanka’s most stunning terrain. You’ll fly over Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle and also see some excellent wildlife, including herds of elephants.

After that exhilarating adventure, you’ll take a leisurely drive to Kithulgala, a haven for adventure seekers.

Day 05 – White Water Rafting

Kithulgala is located by the Kelani River and it’s a great place for white-water rafting. The area boasts level 2, 3, 4 & 5 rapids over roughly 5 km of the river. The setting is amazing and gives you a chance to fully immerse yourself in nature while enjoying the sheer thrill of white-water rafting.

Watching a waterfall is exciting, but waterfall abseiling takes it to the next level and Kithulgala is an ideal opportunity for this adrenaline-pumping activity.

Day 06 – Beli Lena Caves | Nuwara Eliya

Get ready for the rugged road as you mountain bike your way to the ancient Beli Lena Caves; an intricate system of caves set in a beautiful environment near Kithulgala. The caves are huge and fossils dating back 32,000 years have been found here. In fact, remains of the prehistoric “Balangoda Man” have been found in these caves.

After the excitement of Beli Lena Caves, you’ll get back on the road and head up to Sri Lanka’s “Little England”, Nuwara Eliya. Home to arguably the best tea in the world, this hill station is one of the highest towns in Sri Lanka by elevation at 6,129 feet above sea level.

Day 07 – Horton Plains

Carrying a packed breakfast to enjoy in the wilderness, you’ll be driving up to Horton Plains today. Get ready for the adventure of the outdoors, you’re heading to the Horton Plains National Park, located on a plateau in the hills and home to the famous World’s End precipice. The scenery is simply indescribable and the 9km trek through the wilderness will take about 3 hours to complete. This is one of the most beautiful treks in the world, covering tea estates, cloud forests and the misty hills. You’ll also visit the famous Baker’s Falls and Chimney Falls.

Day 08 – Sinharaja Rainforest

Today you’ll drive down to Deniyaya, a town in the south of Sri Lanka that’s the most popular gateway to the Sinharaja Rainforest, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s a long 6-hour drive, so try to get as much rest as possible before trekking through the rainforest. If time permits, you can go on a short trek as soon as you arrive.

The Sinharaja Rainforest is an 8,800-hectare reserve and is vitally important as it is one of the last remaining untouched natural rain forests in Sri Lanka.

Day 09 – Sinharaja Rainforest

After an early start, you’ll go out on an excursion into the Sinharaja Rainforest. It’s home to many of Sri Lanka’s endemic species and is a paradise for those who love trekking through the wilderness. There’s plenty of stuff to see and do in the rainforest and your friendly guides will make sure you experience the best it has to offer.

After a long trek, you’ll have the evening to rest and recover before heading to the beach.

Day 10 – Mirissa

Your beach holiday begins! It’s time to soak up the sun and enjoy Sri Lanka’s amazing beaches. Mirissa, on Sri Lanka’s south coast, is home to vibrant beaches full of good vibes and quirky seaside restaurants. It’s also a great place for whale watching, surfing and water sports.

Day 11 – Whale Watching

Be ready for a very early start. Today you’ll head out onto the water for an exciting morning of whale watching, taking a packed breakfast to enjoy on the water. The waters here are great for seeing blue whales, orcas and sperm whales.

Day 12 – Unawatuna | Colombo

On your way to the commercial capital, Colombo, you’ll be stopping at Unawatuna, a rustic and vibrant beachside community that is a haven for tourists and home to one of Sri Lanka’s top beaches. If you like to, this is an ideal opportunity for some snorkeling or scuba diving.

Later in the day, you’ll head into the bustle of Colombo, in time to rest before your flight home.

Day 13 – Airport

You came to Sri Lanka seeking adventure and you’ve experienced the best that Sri Lanka has to offer. Now we’ll get you to the airport and bid you farewell as you carry back memories to treasure for life.
